"'Ello." "Did you say hello?" "Nah, I said Ello, but thats close enough!!!" (Name that film)

Hey, hi & hello peeps.

It feels like an eternity since I last posted.
I am gradually becoming more organised (since getting my beautiful Erin Condren life planner) and have made time in my diary to blog.
I have missed it oodles, but there have not been enough hours in the day recently.

A little catch up for you. We are now moved in (and nearly unpacked) to our lovely little apartment. It is lovely to have some space again. In the move I have managed to have a huge destash of all the things that "were a good idea at the time!!".

I have managed to squeeze a little crafting into my days, mostly when the boy is asleep.

Here's a few little piccies of some of the projects I have been working on...

These are going to go up on the wall in the living area. One for each of us. They kind of show who we are a little. The boy has three little beasties (which is what he can seem like some times!). I have various coloured splats - say no more!! And Darren, well the best image I could have put in the frame for him would have been an M3 CSL. But I didn't have one of those so he got coffee splats (I love this stamp set). He does love a good coffee though!!

I have, obviously, done a few cards for birthdays and for my very very very clever cousins. One of which got their GSCE & the other A-level results and they both did amazingly. So proud, they have both worked so hard and got what they deserved & worked for.

Below is a couple of card I have made recently, one for a work colleague and the other for one of the boys friends who turned 8 this week.

As you will see from previous posts I am a self confessed Lawn Fawn nut!!! So when the last release came out what was I supposed to do?!? I didn't buy everything though, there was a little self restraint.

I am going to do my absolute best to do a post, no matter the size, every Saturday. And I would love to do a little "step by step" jobby, but we will see how this goes.
I wish I could 'you tube' like those fantastic guys and girls but I fear the pressure would get to to me and I would buckle beneath it!!!

I must fly my little loves, there is a massive pile of washing calling for me. Oh what fun!!!

TTFN oh lovely people.

All change!!!

Hey there one and all.  There has been lots of change for me in the last few weeks. I have unfortunately had to leave my education path, circumstances change and bills to be paid so I have gone back to the working world. I am now lucky enough to be working along side some of the most beautiful cars at Bentley, Maserati and Ferrari in Colchester. On the up side this means a nice regular pay day for some crafty treats for working a 52 and a half hour week! The boy is back at school after the Easter break so normality is resuming.
I know I have been very lacking in my blog attention but this will be remedied. I have got a load of pictures to upload but I'm out and about today so they'll be up in a day or so.

HUGGLES to all and I'll be back soon with lots of lovely craftiness.

Let the madness cease!!!

Hey guys and gals, what a couple of weeks it has been. My poor old Mum has been in hospital so I've been looking after Dad. There has been literally no crafting occurring, this is very very bad times!! She's home now and on the mend so I have managed to scuttle away to my crafty desk for some creative brain vomit!!!

So, I spotted the good old retro sketch challenge and I've had a little play and here is my offering...
I also made my uncles birthday card (almost a month ahead of time but I needed to craft!!) I used Lawn Fawns Gnome Sweet Gnome set. This set is too cute for words, my personal favourite it the Flamingo (he reminds of the one from Gnomeo & Juliet). Can't beat a bright pink plastic Flamingo in my eyes. I used the 4x6 stitched journalling card dies set for the main background and the 3x4 stitched journalling card die set for the smaller tag section.  Anyway here it is...
My last little piece of loveliness is my uber gorgeous delivery from Mama Elephant. Which arrived in under a week, I was very impressed with that. Their stamps are always beautiful and the co ordinating dies are perfect. I also treated myself to the full set of their pigment ink pads. After watching Laura Bassen playing with them I had to get them.
I finally managed to get hold of the Honey Bunny stamp set which has been out of stock for ages. I got the matching dies for that set. I bought the dies for the Up & Away set of stamps I already have (Fussy cutting and I do not see eye to eye so where there's a matching die, I'll have it!). I bought the adorable Pandamonium stamp set with dies and the lovely Sketchy Letters

I am STILL waiting for my mega Simon Say Stamp delivery. I promise to show you a picture of all the lovelies when they get here.

It is time for me to say TTFN you lovely lot. I'll be back sooner next time I promise, in fact, you'll be fed up with me soon!!!

Laters taters.

The postie's been!!!

Hey there peeps.
It's been a good day!!! The post man arrived with bundles of loveliness for me this morning!!! My Lawn Fawn haul arrived, whoop whoop!!!
I have had to have a rearrangement of my storage, Lawn Fawn now have a box all of their own.
Looking at it like this makes me think I may have gone a touch over board, but they are just all so darn adorable. I really really needed all of it. There are a couple more Lawn Fawn bits to arrive with my Simon Says Stamp package of love, but that I am still waiting on.

I also got a couple of other set from another company in the UK which sells US stamps. They're called Make The Day Special. I got a gorgeous Newton's Nook set and the always beautiful Mama Elephant set.
So, now I must play! It's handsome Darren's birthday tomorrow and I made a lovely little card with the 'Critters from the past' set. Just forgot to take a picture to show you!! But I did also make a matching tag for his bag of goodies from the boy.

I'm starting to get the hang of the copic colouring now and I really enjoy it. I am saving for the HUGE 358 copic sketch pen set in the gorgeous case. I keep looking at the picture of it on the website and drooling over it, seriously, every colour they make!!! I have massive issues with pens, I LOVE THEM!!! But, if I am going to buy a new pen, I have to have it in every colour they make. I recently found friction pens by pilot. These are pens that can be erased (very helpful at college!). I bought the usual colours black, blue, red and green. Then I found (on the best pen website there is Cult Pens) a selection of 12 of the little beauties. Obviously, they were ordered straight away!

And back in the room... (pens send me off on crazy tangents!!). So that's my babblings for today. I'll try and sneak a pic of Darren's card after he's opened it for you all.

Have a lovely weekend, fingers crossed for the sun to shine on us all.

Love love love lego!!!

Good morning one and all.
I was a very good girl yesterday and did an entire days worth of college work so it goes without saying that I needed a little light relief today.
I was mooching through you tube for a little inspiration and stumbled across the most fabulous party favour. A very clever lady has made little matchbox favours in the shape of Lego bricks!!! Now this to most wouldn't be as exciting as I have made it out to be but... I have a six year old son who loves Lego. A nephew who's punishment when he misbehaves is having his Lego taken away (trust me to him this is the end of the world!!) and a niece who loves the Lego friends sets (my brother was massively upset when pink & purple Lego arrived in his home, this is very wrong apparently - old school!!).
Anyway, back on track, I knocked one up and genuinely so easy to do...
I know, awesome right?!? The lady (I don't know her name) her you tube channel is LiveLoveScrap and the video tutorial link is: Lego Brick Matchbox. Honestly, go and see and make adorable little Lego brick matchboxes. I have a suspicion that I will have a plethora of these little bad boys floating around in no time!!!

On another note, I love seeing peoples hauls on you tube and their blogs. Recently I had a purge of all my crafty stash, so much I just didn't use any more. So made myself some pennies to have a splurge!!! I am currently waiting for BIG deliveries from Lawn Fawn & Simon Says Stamp and a few lovely bags of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. So I'm thinking I am going to share all my new pretties with you guys.

Anywho, the grindstone is calling my name (not before a cup of tea though!). Laters taters, speak to you all soon.

Couldn't help myself!!!

Just a quickie today. I ordered the QuicKutz hanging box die which arrived yesterday so I couldn't help myself. I had to make something with it, it's adorable. Good for putting mini note card sets in as gifts and putting sweeties in etc etc. Drum roll please...
Isn't it just gorgeous!!! I am going to add this to the Retro Sketches challenge too. I used the Jillybean soup "fresh vegetable" collection pack for the papers and Lawn Fawns "Happy Feast" stamp set. My apple pie is possible a little too green, radioactive apples used in this one!! But I am generally pleased with how it came out.

As promised just a quickie.

The ultimate alternative distraction!!

So I am currently studying at the Colchester Institute for my Access course. I have had my conditional offer for my degree starting in September so you would think all is wonderful!!! But... a disgusting bout of tonsillitis has me in it's grip presently (I'm currently rattling when I walk with the amount of tablets I've been taking). Now having to take a week away from college you would think that this would be the perfect time to get ahead on the assignments I have pouring from everywhere. But since starting this course alternative distractions have come to the forefront. Everything, apart from what I should be doing, has to be done immediately. Tidying, washing and even the ironing (I know, I know no one wants to do the ironing really!) have become so attractive, anything to not do the next essay.

I am now taking on the ultimate alternative distraction - a Blog!!! I truly do not have the time for it but I have wanted to give it a go for such a long time and never had the nerve. Who really wants to hear me babble on (apart from those who I have physically cornered!!) about my life and what I get up to??? No one possibly but hey ho, I'll give it a whirl even if it's just for me!

So, apart from my scholarly antics, there are a few other important things in my life. My partner handsome Darren, my gorgeous son Zachary and my hobby. I love to craft, if it can be covered in glitter or stuck to something with a hot glue gun I'm on it. That is mostly what I wanted to Blog about. There are so many wonderful crafters out there who are sooooooo inspirational to me I just wanted to have a little go at it too.

My first crafty creation I wanted to throw out there is in response to the retro sketches challenge for this week. This too is something new to me, my very first challenge card. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a mention.

So here it is, my contribution...

I used Lawn Fawns "Critters Down Under" stamps. Isn't the koala adorable???

That's it then, my first Blog post. Wasn't too painful I have to say. Thank you for reading through my babbling mess! I'm sure I'll hone my blogging skills soon.
